A Natural Heartburn Treatment

When you eat at a buffet, do you consume just about all the food you can and worry about acid reflux or heartburn later? I see it all of the time, just about every one I see at a buffet or even a company potluck, loads their plate with more food than they stomach can handle at one time.

The medical industry has brainwashed most people to believe that if you have heartburn or acid reflux, you have too much stomach acid and that this is the cause of heartburn. Then, then they use Tums or some other over the counter remedy to quench their upset stomach. Or if they are seeing a doctor, the doctor will prescribe a acid blocker drug.

The drugs – acid reducers or blockers – that doctors prescribe usually have a negative impact on your health. Your stomach must have an acid pH of 1.5 to 2.5. With acid blockers or reducers, your stomach pH can move to 3.0 and higher – this means less acidic. A pH of 3.0 or higher can lead to many health problems that you won’t relate to your use to these blockers.

Heartburn, acid reflux or GED occur when the Lower Esophageal Valve, LEV, opens when it shouldn’t. When this happens some stomach acid and digested food slips back into the esophagus. This will give you a burning sensation, since the esophagus lining is not design to be exposed to acidic stomach contents

If you ever get acid reflux or heartburn, the burning sensation, stomach pain, bleaching, and discomfort will make you look for a heartburn treatment. Here is a list of eating patterns that you should follow, if you want to be free of heartburn. Or, if, you just want not to have stomach digestive problems.

Heartburn treatment with digestive enzymes

Just before you eat, take 2 – 3 digestive enzymes to help you digest your food. You don’t want undigested food to stay in your stomach to long or it will decompose, create gas and turn into an acid source. And, if this undigested food gets into your colon, it can create colon cancer, if it occurs over many years.

Heartburn treatment with water

Limit the amount of liquid you drink when you eat. Drinking excess water, dilutes your stomach acid and you need its low pH to digest your food. If you do drink liquid, use room temperature water, since cold water slows down your digestive process.

Heartburn treatment – eat less sugar

Limit your consumption of sugar when you eat. Sugar has no nutritional value and causes calcium to go out your urine. In addition, other minerals are used up during its digestion. For sure don’t drink soda or other sweet drinks during your meals.

Heartburn treatment – watch how you eat fruit

After you eat, don’t eat any fruit. Your stomach is busy digesting the food you just ate. Eating fruit will cause the fruit to remain in your stomach to long, waiting to be digested and will start decaying create gas, and will become acidic.

Heartburn treatment by using a good diet

Don’t stuff yourself at the dinner table. When you eat to much food where you combine meat, carbohydrates, sugar, sodas, fats, and processed foods, the food your stomach cannot digest turns into acid. This acid creates gas and can put pressure on a weak LEV causing it to open.

A weak LEV can be cause by eating too much acid food. It can be caused by mixing to many different foods during a meal. A balanced diet, which contains alkaline and acid food keeps your LEV strong and will not open when you occasionally eat more food than you should.

These are just a few heartburn treatments that can help you keep heartburn free. Your stomach needs strong acid to digest your food. Using acid reducers or blockers like Tums or other medication goes against the nature of your stomach. Without an acid stomach, you will become susceptible to a numerous diseases and a weak LEV valve.

The Value Of Time

I’m not sure when you are reading this, but I’m writing it the day after Thanksgiving. I saw a lot of stuff happen this weekend that made me think about the value of time.

If you are living in the US, the day after Thanksgiving is called “black Friday” because all the stores have huge sales to get them back into the black.

Now, Friday afternoon I was playing w/ my twin boys, but when my family got back from shopping, I heard stories about saving $20-$30 on some stuff… but having to wait in line for 2-3 hours to buy the product.

That doesn’t even count the time it takes to drive to the store, find parking and then fight your way through all the people.

This made me think…

If someone spent 4 hours saving $20…. how much did the actually save?

I’m not sure about you, but I value my time very highly. It’s the only thing in the world that I don’t get more of.

So, what do you value your time at? If you are working for a job, getting paid $8 an hour… then your time is valued at $8 an hour.

So, if you were shopping this weekend, and you spent 4 hours – it cost you $32 (if you are charging $8 an hour). If you value your time at higher – then it could have cost you a fortune.

Well, I personally value my time around $1k an hour. The reason…? If I spend a focused hour on a project, it will always turn into at least $1k (usually more).

So, when people call and want me to consult them on a project, I charge between $600 – $1,000 an hour depending on the client and the situation.

That is why I believe so strongly in outsourcing – because it’s usually a lot cheaper to hire someone to do a task – then to personally do it myself.

Last weekend we paid 2 people $650 to clean up my yard for the winter. It took them 7 hours each to get the job done.

So, If I would have done the work myself, it would have cost me $14,000 to do it (7 hours X 2 people X $1k an hour).

In that case – $650 is a no brainier.

Now, with that said… I want to show you some ways to free up some more personal time for yourself to get done the stuff that YOU have to get done.

1st – learn to cluster your time. One of the things that kills the productivity of online business owners is instant communication.

People want to answer their emails or phone calls the second they come in. I can tell you from experience that this will kill your productivity.

Every time you start into a project, you are interrupted by email, phone calls, instant messages….

Learn to cluster your time – take 60 minutes at the end of your work day when you are less productive… and then (and only then) answer your emails – and make phone calls back.

You need large clusters of time that you can focus 100% on a project so you can get more done faster.

2nd – Kill your email addresses. Have you ever tried to email me? If so you’ve probably got a response saying that you have to submit a ticket to my help desk.

The reason?

First – so I can cluster my time
Second – because I’ve outsourced my customer support

I think email is the biggest killer of productivity in the world. I’ve turned off all but one of my email addresses – and if more then 10 people find that one out – then I kill it and start over. Beware of email.

So, what help desk software do I recommend? There are a lot out there – currently we are using www.kayako.com and it’s been great.

3rd – Charge for your time. You should not be giving away your most valuable asset for free. Every second that I am spending with a client, I am not able to spend with my wife or the twins.

We talked earlier about the value of your time… how much is your time worth? As you grow in your niche, people will start trying to get your time for free.

Beware of this – because it will quickly kill your productivity and your business.

Have you ever tried to call me? I’ve set it up where it’s impossible for anyone besides my wife to call me and get through. My assistant tells anyone calling requesting my time to visit www.JVWithRussell.com.

I have my call times clustered, and charge $300 for every 30 minutes that someone wants to talk on the phone.

I use a company called “Ether” (see the pic above) that charges the person and then lets them ring through to my line. www.Ether.com

The service is free to use – they just take a % of what your client is paying you to talk. You can bill people by the minute, hour, per call. It’s awesome way to make sure you are charging for your time.

4th – Replace yourself. Your goal as an entrepreneur isn’t to work forever – it’s to create a business that will generate the money you need to live the life you want.

So, from day #1, you need to be thinking about HOW to replace yourself.
The first thing you need to replace is your customer support. Do this as fast as you can. Then follow it with website design, writing, link trading, research… anything and everything else you can until your business can run without you.

That should be the end goal of your business. That is the dream that you, me and everyone is looking for online.

Replace your self by either outsourcing the tasks you currently do – or hire employees.

NOTE: When hiring employees – be sure to read “The E-Myth” by Michael Gerber and save yourself a few of the headaches I had before I read his book. You can get it on Amazon for about $12.

I hope that this newsletter has been beneficial. As your business grows, you are going to find yourself with less time every day. If you’re not careful, it will consume you.

What you started so you could have more time – will be taking every last second you have. Remember the value of your time because every second it precious.

Custom essay writing service ProfEssays continues to advise on essay writing. The relative information appears on its site. At present ProfEssays is about to add a new page titled “Useful tips to improve one’s essay writing”. In general these tips draw attention to the fact that it is desirable to start working over one’s assignment as soon as one receives it. Everybody should start by reading the text of assignment carefully. While doing so it is necessary to analyse the language of the assignment and its keywords, try to define the purpose behind the essay. Afterwards one needs to collect and generate ideas which will help to create the stuff of one’s essay. There are a number of different methods writers use to accumulate ideas before they begin to write: free-writing, perception games, brainstorming and clustering, discussion groups, heuristics, talking with friends. These activities can help you get ideas on paper and give you some initial guidance, relieving in writing your first draft.
If you’re composing a research paper, then do your readings. They will help you adopt the right way of thinking about the topic one’s subject and what special terms are needed to use. Readings usually provide with the expert opinions which can be incorporated in essays or papers to prove certain arguments. At the beginning of one’s essay writing it is vital to muse on a working thesis or a question that is supposed to be answered. It doesn’t matter if one s working thesis changes as you write and research. Remember that a thesis statement is not simply a statement of fact but a statement saying something about a fact.
Before writing a draft, one should consider creating an outline indicating what is designed to be proved in the paper. Make sure you can explain in the outline how each point you want to make connects to your thesis. The outline as well as the working thesis can be changed in the process of writing. If a point doesn’t seem to fit, reconsider the point and reconsider your thesis. It may be possible or even necessary to either change the point or change the thesis.
Getting down to writing one isn’t obliged to start from the very beginning. Start with the section that is clearest in your mind. Then it will be possible to go back and fill in the gaps. It is necessary think about the connections between arguments once there is something on paper.
One should write one’s first draft without bothering too much about grammar, punctuation, and style. These things are important, but shouldn’t be allowed to distract you from writing your ideas down on paper. Don’t try to write the perfect introduction, either. Lots of writers write their introduction at the end of the writing process.
Make sure your argument reaches a conclusion. In the conclusion, it is necessary to point out what the highlights of the essay are and what one can learn from this essay.
One must always rewrite your rough copy at least once. There shouldn’t be more than one main idea in each paragraph, and the main ideas of each paragraph should follow on each other logically and be in compliance with your thesis. Keep your audience in mind while rewriting.
If you’re citing sources, check your documentation style. Bear in mind what documentation style your professor expects. Three main styles are used in the Humanities and Social Sciences: APA, MLA, and Turabian (Chicago).
Always revise your work before submitting it. Delete anything in the essay that is not compatible with the main argument. It is crucial to pay attention to transition. Make sure that your introduction and conclusions more than summaries. Naturally one should correct every single grammatical error.
Finally, before you turn your essay in, when your argument and ideas are clear, read your essay aloud, listening to what you’ve written. Afterwards one should correct difficult or awkward phrases, and mistakes in grammar and punctuation.

Blog Optimization for Profit – Part 4

Getting links from other websites is not the only Free way to attract visitors to visit your blog. This time, we are going to explore alternative methods to attract high quality traffic.

The first thing you can do to generate traffic is to take advantage of all the content you have written on your blog. You can literally multiply your visibility across the internet with this simple, yet powerful, method. I use it often. I’m talking about making your blog posts available to millions of people by posting them in Article Directories. Focus on your posts that help people solve their problems or offer valuable information and submit them to article directories. These article directories are like aggregators that collect articles of similar themes together in one place, so they receive thousands and thousands of qualified visitors every day. Best of all, it’s Free!

When you submit your articles to these directories, you are exposing your name to the thousands of pairs of eyes visiting them for free! On most article directories, you are also permitted to include a “resource box” where you can include your contact details, a simple biography and so on. Most importantly, you include a link to your blog! This is where you can truly leverage for Free traffic! Once you get the hang of it, do a Google Search for “Article Directories”. There are literally hundreds of them. I personally post to over 350 Directories on a regular basis. If you go to my blog (see Author Box) I will show you how I do it.

Another excellent way to gain traffic is to join internet forums that are based on your niche. To find these kind of forums, just go to any search engine and enter “the name of your niche” + “forum”, without the quotes. You would want the most focused forum with a substantial number of active members, and preferably always bustling with activity. Just check the dates of the threads posted on the forum.

When you join active forums that focus on your field of discussion and post very useful and valuable posts, your peers will start noticing you and paying attention to what you have to say. In most forums, you are also allowed to add a link to your site in the signature line, which is under every post you make on the forums. People will click and visit your blog if they find your posts helpful and informative. This way, your credibility is built even before they land on your blog, so traffic from the forums would be easier to turn into profits if your blog is selling your own products or recommending others’ as an affilliate since they are already convinced you’re an “expert” in the field.

The next strategy we’ll discuss is word of mouth. Let’s say you already have a daily visitor count of 100. What if you compiled a small report or gift and posted it on your blog, saying that if a certain visitor can refer three of his/her friends to visit your blog the gift will be his/hers for free? If your small report or gift is lucrative enough, it will generate a small buzz among your blog readers and they will surely refer their friends to you! There is one problem with this if you have a blog on Blogger.com. You cannot upload your report to their server so you will need to find a separate webhost to upload your gift to. Then, when a reader wants the gift, they click the download link which takes them to your webhost where the gift can be had.

Since I am on Blogger.com myself, I am currently looking into Free and paid webhosting as I have a number of Free eBooks I want my readers to download.

Whatever you do, be sure to use the “blog and ping” technique that everyone’s talking about. I use this everytime I post on my blogs. Basically, when you update your blog, you can let blog portals such as technorati.com know by pinging them. You can ping a lot of portals at once by using pingomatic.com or the one I use, pingoat.com. These are free services. When you ping it’s like telling the search engine spiders you have something good to eat and they will come running and index you.

Besides the techniques described here, there are also paid methods like buying links from high-ranking pages or buying banner advertisement space. A thing to keep in mind when buying paid traffic is to always weigh your profits generated from the paid ads. If your profits do no offset the expense, you will end up losing money, so choose wisely. I know that sound like common sense but, believe it or not, people throw away thousands of dollars cimply because they do not know how to track the performance of their Ads.

Personally, I have not purchased Ads or links. Until you master traffic generation by Free methods, hold onto your money and learn much more about it. It is definitely a gamble for a novice. It is sophisticated stuff in spite of claims to the contrary.

Yours for success in life.

Jim DeSantis

Internet Marketing for the Newcomer

With the popularity of the World Wide Web expanding around the Globe, More and more people will try their hand at making a living on line with Internet Marketing. Whether, it’s to break away from a ‘Dead End’ job or get a way from a Boss you dislike! Or perhaps a single parent with a need to supplement an income. Retirees wishing to add to their pensions! or full blown marketers setting out to build a Million Dollar Internet Business.

One thing for certain, they all have one thing in common! A desire for financial independence. To being financially secure as to not to have to worry about those monthly bills. To be able to live a lifestyle any where they choose. Live on the Beach, High in the Mountains, London, Paris or Rome! They world really is your oyster if you are able to make a success of creating an income On-Line.

Anyone can start an Internet Marketing Business. There no real huge investment requiring bank loans, No buildings to maintain, no staff, and office costs etc. All you kneed is a computer, telephone line and an Internet connection.

Simple! Not quite! A word of caution. If it was that easy we would all be Internet Millionaires. The subject of Internet Marketing is a very broad one indeed one of the most covered topics today. And it’s one that I will not enter into here. But Internet marketing is just that: ‘Marketing on the Internet’.

When starting out, it’s important not to let your enthusiasm, trap you into exchanging one set of restrictions for yet another! Set a clear plan of the lifestyle to wish to have, and how much time you intend to spend on achieving it. After all you don’t want to spend 12 hours a day in front of a computer making money for the sake of it! Keep you reasons for making money with Internet Marketing in the forefront of your mind.

The whole idea of making money on line by harnessing the power of Internet technology, is to reduce the amount of time creating the necessary wealth to sustain an existing lifestyle or to fulfil the ambition of a better one! If successful, the reward is the freedom to enjoy the rewards and other pursuits, such as family, hobbies, and sports etc. Things that add to the quality that makes life worth while

Have some discipline! Create a time plan. Don’t spend all of it in front of the computer. You will not obtain all the knowledge that you kneed as if by magic or willpower alone! Take time out to read the information that you feel will assist your business. Also, and most important, do not spend the time on line at the expense of the precious time usually spent with friends and family. After all you don’t want to gain a business and lose what you already have!

Just like any “Off-Line” Business. Take time to investigate all the options. What suits you best? Try to develop a business plan!. Create some sort of a feasibility study! Keep your ultimate goal in mind by all means, but don’t try to run before you can walk. An online Internet Marketing business is just like any ‘Off-Line’ Business, whether it is Part Time or Full Time. It is still a ‘Business’ and can be wildly successful beyond you wildest dreams or be a miserable failure.

Take into consideration you technical knowledge, marketing experience, your strengths and weakness. Should you begin by selling a product or join a ‘turnkey’ affiliate programme? Decide on the amount of time to spend on your business? For the things your not sure of, there is a multitude of “How To” products out there for you to take advantage of. (That’s a huge market in itself). Some are good, some bad, some are free and others come with a price tag. But they all sing the same song, perhaps to a different tune.

But whatever you find, take the time to read and absorb what you have learnt! Trust me on this one. I know for certain I am not the only one, that in my enthusiasm to get started, rushed out, credit card in hand, and downloaded a bunch of “How To” products, only to read a paragraph or two before another offer caught my eye, and the “Order Now” button was clicked, yet again!! There were also occasions when I discovered that I purchased stuff I had already downloaded months before and not taken the time to read!! And they were all sitting on my Hard Drive gathering cyber dust. How stupid is that? Don’t make the same mistake. Have patients. More haste less speed.

One you have decided on what project or programme you are going to promote. Stick to it! Exhaust every avenue within you knowledge range, time and budget until it becomes either the success you are looking for or proves to be the wrong vehicle for you. Either way, you will learn something along the way, and saved a bunch of money and time with this philosophy. Internet marketing is exciting, challenging, and sometimes confusing… Internet marketing is not easy, but it also does not have to be difficult. Stick to one product or programme at a time. Don’t make the mistake of diluting your efforts by running after too many projects at one time. Don’t spread your self too thin. A moving glass will never burn the paper!

Steer clear of the “Get Rich in 48 Hours….without lifting a finger” schemes. There is no such thing as a “Free Lunch” and nothing in this world is obtained without some effort! The pockets of the promoters of these “Get Rich” Schemes are well lined, and he Internet is paved with the dreams of the folks who rushed out and signed up for them. Ask you self, would you have fallen for this or that scheme if you had read it in your local paper? The Internet is no different. than the real world that we live in.

One final thought; Try to acquire the necessary tools to make your Internet Marketing business a success. Set out achievable goals. – Don’t overload yourself. Take small steps within certain time frames. Work your way through one step at a time. Don’t move on until you have reached this goal. Build on your successes one step at a time. This way you build a strong foundation and sustain the growth of your business to achieve your dreams Try to step out of your skin. Pretend that you are hiring yourself- like a new employee that has to learn the ropes. As a boss, you wouldn’t unfairly overload a newcomer starting out in the Internet Marketing business – so don’t do it to yourself!

Last but not least; Dare to dream! Believe in your dreams! Believe in yourself! Your future is too important. Take the time to get to the top.

To Your success

Identity Theft – You Can Prevent It

free  Comments Off on Identity Theft – You Can Prevent It
Dec 062019

By now everybody has heard of some horror story about identity theft from TV shows or magazine articles. In the popular culture, references of identity theft are found in the novels and movies, notably Frederick Forsyth’s novel, “The day of the Jackal” and the 1995 movie “The Net.” In real life, the Identity Theft Resource Center (http://www.idtheftcenter.org) reports 8.9 millions identity theft victims in 2006.

So, what is an identity theft? An identity theft occurs when somebody steals vital pieces of personal information, e.g. your social security, credit card numbers, etc. and uses that information for financial gains by taking your identity. The most common form of identity theft involves credit card and mortgage frauds. But it can also be used for vicious crimes like drug dealings, terrorism, etc.

You may be surprised to know that many minor identity thefts are committed by someone you know. So, don’t make it an easy job for a person to steal your personal information from your wallet, checkbook, etc. Avoid leaving things containing your personal information lying around for others to have an easy access to that information.

Shred, shred, shred. Buy a cheap paper shredder from an office supply store and shred all your paid bills, used check books, etc. before tossing those into the trash. Put aside 30 minutes every Saturday morning for shredding anything that contained your personal information and you intend to trash. Make it a habit.

Never give out your personal information like your social security number; birth date etc. over the phone when the call you received is unsolicited. Your financial institutions have those information and they will not ask you for that. Sometimes, for verification purposes, they make ask you the last four digits of your social security number.

Don’t pay to get anybody to get a copy of your credit report. Because of a congressional mandate, all three-credit report bureaus will give you a copy of your credit report for free every year. Go to AnnualCreditreport.com to obtain your free credit report every year from TransUnion, Equifax, and Experian. While obtaining your free credit report, these bureaus will push some paid services. Just ignore those.

Don’t get your free credit reports from the three bureaus all at the same time. Then you have to wait one year before you can get your reports again for free. In the mean time, some unwanted stuff may show up in your report. Get your free report every four months from each bureau. If you are using a PDA, password protect it to prevent others from accessing it.

Phishing is a popular method to steal sensitive information for identity theft purposes. Don’t be a phishing victim. Avoid clicking on any link that comes to your way through e-mails or IM. The e-mail will disguise itself coming from your financial institutions (your bank or PayPal accounts) and will urge you to click a link to verify your accounts or resort to such other tricks. Sometimes, it can be outright threatening. If you click the link you will end up in the thief’s website. And if you enter your user name and password, the thief will have enough information to log into your actual account.

Open online accounts for all your credit cards and financial accounts. Online accounts are not only convenient for faster bill paying, paperless transactions, etc.; they also help monitor your accounts frequently, instead of waiting for the monthly bill or statement to arrive. Monitor your accounts online every week and if you see any suspicious charges, checks, etc., call you banks immediately. Also setup e-mail based account alerts, if available, to alert you when charges are made to your accounts.

If possible, avoid putting your outgoing mails containing bills and checks in your mailboxes for easy access by a thief. Drop them in mailboxes located in the post office or street corners. Better yet, setup online bill payment with your bank and avoid the snail mail for bill paying.

You also need to keep your computer safe. Thieves can get into computers through spyware and unsecured wireless or network connections. Use anti-spyware programs and turn on your Windows default personal firewall program. To prevent viruses infecting your computer, use an anti-virus program. Setup accounts for each user of your computer and ask them to use strong passwords that include a combination of letters and numbers.

Another way to prevent anybody, including you, from opening any credit in your name is to freeze your credit. This option is not available in all states. If it is available in your state and you opt for this option, you need to lift the block before you allow anybody, e.g. an employer for a new job, creditor for a car loan, etc., to access your credit information. Though it is almost like a foolproof system to prevent identity theft, it is the also the most inconvenient method.

How to Breathe Life into your Living Room

free  Comments Off on How to Breathe Life into your Living Room
Dec 052019

As the name suggests, a living room is where you spend most part of your daily routine life. The most important functions in a home like dining, recreating, entertaining guests and watching television etc., are all, usually, hosted by the living room. Therefore, it becomes all the more imperative that you maintain your living room and make it as good as possible with ideal decoration. Now, decoration may take the shape of arranging, re-arranging or buying new furniture for your living room. It may also take the shape of entirely re-doing the architecture of the living room. But this is a slightly expensive and long-term plan that may or may not work.

For the sake of brevity, this article will focus on dabbling with your furniture in order to breathe some life into your living room. The kind of furniture used in the living room depends a great deal on the requirements of the family. For instance, a home with kids may have entirely different needs while those with mostly grown ups in the family will value the grace and looks of Amish made furniture.

Fortunately, you don’t have to start from scratch in order to make your living room a living entity. The furniture already placed in your living room, if seems ugly, can be refurbished or even re-arranged to give a brand new look to the room. Living room can be compartmentalized by some strategic measures that may include separation by cabinets, shelves or even clever flooring and different paint patterns for the walls. The idea is to have optimum utilization of space in the living room.

You can also experiment with different types of furniture for different requirements. For instance, Amish furniture could be used to show your sense of appreciation towards craftsmanship. Remember, your living room also doubles up as the place to entertain your guests and business delegates. And carefully crafted Amish Oak furniture might just land you a lucrative long-term contract! Wicker furniture may also be used to lend variety in the living room. Plastic furniture is easier to handle.

Always leave some free space to allow your living room and other furniture to breathe and also not look cluttered. If you have lots of extra stuff and find it hard to store small items, the furniture items with storage units should be your first choice. Decorative items like lamps and photo-stand etc. must not occupy too much space. The motto is to beautify the room with as little articles as possible. The decorative items must be unique and not too many!

Leather sofas are always easy to maintain and also add the requisite gloss to the living room. The paint of the living room should not give out the feeling of gaudiness. Evergreen light colors should be used in the living room. All the experimentation should be done in other rooms of your home. Always keep your living room free from dirt by periodic cleaning and dusting. The stains on the furniture should be removed without delay. The stains may become permanent if not treated immediately. As far as possible, keep the kids away from the delicate items in your living room.

A living room is a window to your personality. It is up to you how your present your living room to the outside world and to your family members.
