Watch Out For Allergies With Baby Laundry!

free  Comments Off on Watch Out For Allergies With Baby Laundry!

So you’re having a baby. You think you’ve thought of everything, but at the same time you’re terrified that you’ve missed something. Here’s one thing you may or may not have thought of: laundry. Yes, you know that you will have more, but have you considered the basic differences between your baby’s laundering needs and yours? If you regularly use perfumed detergents, bleach, or fabric softener, your laundering habits may need some reform.

Gone are the days of washing clothes just because they smell. Your baby is going to burp up stuff you’ve never thought of, and your laundry piles are going to skyrocket. This is only one new concern, however, since your baby’s skin is much more sensitive to chemicals than you and your spouses’ grown up skin. Laundering the baby’s clothing in detergents that are free of perfumes and dyes is one quick way to help ensure that your baby does not get unnecessary discomfort from irritating chemicals. There are detergents formulated specifically for babies, but for the most part as long as you stay away from perfume and dye heavy products, your baby should be just fine. There are of course rare cases in which the baby has specific allergies, in which case it is probably best to find one brand that works for your baby’s skin and stick with it. Unfortunately for your baby, this may mean a short trial and error process. As with food allergies, just keep a keen eye out and make sure you seek immediate medical treatment when you are concerned about anything.

Another thing that is important when laundering baby clothing is to make sure that you launder any cloth diapers separately. If you are using cloth diapers, you may think of the obvious reason: these items of clothing are obviously much more soiled than the average baby clothing item. It is best to launder these items twice: once in bleach with a double rinse, and then a second time with just vinegar during the last rinse cycle. This is important because not only is the baby using these items a lot more frequently (so they get a lot more wear), but also they are the closest to the baby’s very sensitive skin. So making sure that cloth diapers are as allergen free as possible is a key factor in keeping your baby comfortable and happy.

The last item on our laundry agenda will keep your laundry service or electric company well fed, and you plenty busy. As your baby quickly outgrows each new item of clothing, and a new one needs to be purchased to replace it, the new items should all be washed before being put on the baby. That includes outerwear and bath accessories, but is especially important for things that you buy a lot of, like undershirts, socks, and onesies. The first couple of months are particularly crucial in determining what kind of laundering ritual is best for your new addition. This is also a time in which you will be getting used to a lot of specifics about your new baby. Make sure no matter how you launder your baby’s clothes, you keep a good eye out for possible allergic reactions and rashes. A comfortable baby is a much happier baby.

What To Do When Your Baby Won’t Wear Clothes!

A lot of time and energy goes into clothing your baby during the first year. From the color debate, to the rapid speed at which most infants outgrow their clothing, new parents have their plates full with keeping their babies clean, comfortable and clothed. So what do you do when all of a sudden, the baby doesn’t want to wear any clothes at all? How do you deal with the exhibitionist stage of your toddler?

At about fourteen months, your baby will most likely want to romp around in the buff. This is completely normal, and in fact could help a little bit with potty training. Obviously, however, it can be a bit troublesome when trying to introduce social norms, and of course when having company without children over for coffee or lunch. So how does a new parent deal with a naked toddler?

The best thing to do is not discourage this behavior entirely. Set limits about where and when your toddler can be naked and enforce them. It is tedious, but repeatedly re-dressing your toddler may be the best way to get the message across. Keep an especially close eye on your toddler in public. Not just because of the obvious, but because you don’t want to lose expensive items like shoes or jackets.

Setting a “naked time” where your child is free to roam around the house for an hour or so a day is a good way to set limits on acceptable behavior. Make sure this time is a time when you can be around to monitor them very closely and make sure that they don’t hurt their more exposed areas. Also, it’s probably best if naked time is a time when your home doesn’t see a lot of traffic. Your toddler may be comfortable with their naked time, but friends and neighbors may not be.

Use your child’s newfound freedom to encourage them to choose their own clothing. Let your toddler dress him or herself a couple of times a week as a special treat. Soon they might like to get dressed as much as they enjoy disrobing. Make getting dressed fun, and stress the importance of where and when it is okay to take off your clothes. This way your child begins to understand the important role that clothing plays in the day-to-day life of grown ups.

The most important thing to remember is not to let your discipline about clothing become about your child’s body. It is easy to make your child feel ashamed of their naked body, even if it is not intended. This kind of discomfort can go a long way in determining how your child feels about their body in the long term, right up into adulthood. Making play dates for right before or after naked time can be a good way to demonstrate for your child the difference between private time and public time, and let them begin making their own boundaries in their mind. This time in their life is a lot about exploration. So even though you’ve been there, it’s important to let them figure out some stuff on their own.

Asset Protection And Fraudulent Transfer

According to information provided by http://www.plan-my-estate.com an estate planning and asset protection resource web site, a Fraudulent Transfer aka Fraudulent Conveyance is a transfer which a debtor makes for the purpose of defeating a creditor’s collection efforts against the debtor. This typically happens when, say, a debtor attempts to “sell” everything to his wife, cousin or business partner for $5 to keep his stuff out of the hands of his creditors. If the court figures out that the transaction is a sham to defeat the creditor, the court will set aside the transaction and make the person holding the assets give them to the creditor. Basically, Fraudulent Transfer Law is this: You can’t do anything which would impair the rights of your unsecured creditors, if you do then the courts will simply ignore what you have done.

There are thousands of individuals and companies that, through e:mails or via internet web sites, offer to help you protect your assets from creditors, ex spouses and or taxing authorities. Many of these individuals and businesses help you protect your assets by having you take actions that can or will put you in violation of the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act. This could, in the long run, not only end up causing you to lose the assets that you were trying to protect but also cost you additional money in court costs, attorney’s fees or collection costs. Additionally, if you had a family member or friend help you, he or she could end up in court or having his or her credit harmed by having a judgment entered against him or her.

Many of these asset protection schemes involve transfering assets to someone you trust, a spouse, other family member, friend or a business that you form. As far as I can determin, if the creditor can prove that the transfer was done in order to avoid creditors, then under the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act the creditor has several remedies depending on the circumstances. These remedies can include causing a judgment to be entered against both you and the transferee, causing the property transfered to be attached or levied upon or causing a lein to be placed against the property. There are other remedies set by statute. The one thing that all of these remedies have in common is that you, the transferee or both of you could be held liable for the costs of obtaining and enforcing the remedy.

Note: Another thing to think about. Over the years I have been involved in numerous asset search and recovery matters where the person
that the bank account, collectibles, stocks, bonds, real estate or other assets were transfered to ended up closing out, selling or otherwise transfering or encumbering the assets, leaving the original owner with nothing. No matter how much you trust someone today you never know what the future will bring.

Other services offer to set up a revocable living trust. They state that the assets then will belong to the trust and be protected from your creditors. As any competent attorney will advise you, this theory is completely false. Since the assets placed in the trust are yours and since you control the trust then you and the trust are the same thing and a creditor can go after any assets placed in the trust. While a revocable living trust may not be a fraudulent transfer, neither is it a way to protect your assets from creditors.

I am not saying that all asset protection companies are worthless or might get you into trouble. I assume that there are some excellent and knowledgeable asset protection companies out there. I just would feel safer getting advice directly from an attorney.

The best way to find out if your assets can be protected and if protecting them is worth the cost is to seek the advice of an attorney who specializes is asset protection, debt collection, estate planning or, in certain cases, bankruptcy law. In some cases the attorney will provide a free or low cost consultation.

Note: I am not an attorney and none of the foregoing should be construed as legal advice. This article is written strictly as my opinion based on life experiences through both my personal life and my work as a private investigator dealing with attorneys in asset search and recovery matters. As in all matters of law you should always consult an attorney before taking on any legal endeavor.

Do you find getting Targeted Traffic a mystery?

Do you find getting Targeted Traffic a mystery? Let me show you how to sort that out once and for all.

Back in the good old days when the Internet was still young and the people browsing around were only looking for a handful of things, in those days any traffic was good traffic. All you had to do was sell products or advertising and due to the lack of diversity in the people visiting, you could quite easily make a sale.

Those glory days are long forgotten. Statistics have shown that in the last couple of years, even if you got 20000 hits a month you could still sell hardly anything and not make any money….

There is only one type of traffic worth anything in any successful internet business. TARGETED TRAFFIC. Knowing not only the kind of visitors you want at your site but most of all the kind you don’t want.

Now lets get started with some of the best known, tried and tested methods used by the best to get consistent reliable traffic.

The first and probably most reliable method…. Paying for links. As you know Google or any search engine ranks your page highly if it has links to other websites with high traffic going to them, Why? Why would a website with stacks of traffic promote something it doesn’t believe will make it money… They run a business too.

So you might ask “Why would a big site with lots of traffic give you a beginner a link?” Well as I always say ASK… It won’t hurt.

Another method that works quite well is to keep in regular contact with the webmaster giving him good feedback about his site and once he’s buttered up and in a good mood mention to him that you have a site in a similar market to him and ask for a link. Well if both of those fail one sure way is the time-honoured principle of bribery. Ask for a link. Then if you get rejected make him an offer and you’ll be surprised how many will give in….

Another amazing method which is still horribly under-utilised is the idea of giving away free stuff.

– Create short ebook or reports on specific topics in highly specialised fields that will appeal to your super hungry market.
– Add your URL to every page in a special header or footer as well as on the title page and at the end of the book.
– Then give it away with unrestricted, unlimited reprint and resale rights to the book for FREE.

Now this method gets used a lot in the “how to” crowd but is hardly used in any other field. In fact 90% of the niche markets out there don’t use it at all. If you tell someone that they can do whatever they want with these well then these book are going to spread like wildfire and thousands are going to be given out, now that’s what we call “Viral Advertising”

Now once you have all this Targeted traffic flowing to your site and you are making sales like crazy just think of all the possibilities.

Internet Marketing is changing at a rapid rate and one method used today could be obsolete tomorrow that’s why you need to hone your skills and make sure to keep one step in front of your competition.

Best of luck with all your future prospects.
Regards.
Ryan Blake.

Playing creative games for fun: a great way to relax

free  Comments Off on Playing creative games for fun: a great way to relax
Dec 282022

Play is a state of mind that is safe, inquisitive and exists in the moment. It is also a bodily state of relaxation and an uplifting and engaged emotional state. Some say play is a spiritual state of profound connection and joy. Play can be something we do by ourselves or with others, but it is also something we can watch others do. Play is often described as a time when we feel most alive, yet we often take it for granted and may completely forget about it. Play can be entirely positive, or have a negative.

Most people believe that play is unproductive, and therefore inferior to “productive” activities. Perhaps this is because we equate play with feeling –happy joyous feeling –that traditionally is seen as less important than thinking. Many of us have lists, at home and at the office, prioritizing tasks by how productive they are. When we run out of time, we cut the fun stuff and do the “productive” stuff because we may feel guilty or bad if we play hooky or goof off by playing a game of golf or chess, taking a hike in the woods or daydreaming for an hour. New research on the brain contradicts this cultural dismissal of play, by emphasizing the importance of feelings and the necessity of feeling safe and relaxed in order to think clearly and productively. Play teaches us how to
manage and transform our “negative” emotions and experiences; it supercharges learning, and is a foundational factor in good mental and physical health. And, it can make work more pleasurable.

How can play trigger the flow state?

Psychiatrist and writer Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, (pronounced “chicks send me high”) studied play in Sidney, Australia and described it as a flow state that requires just the right balance of challenge and opportunity. If the game is too hard or too easy, it loses its sense of pleasure and fun. Maintaining a flow state in games with others requires all participants, regardless of age or ability, to feel challenged, but not overwhelmed. Csikszentmihalyi s research has been undertaken and confirmed in several countries, and now reaches 250,000 surveys. In the flow state we feel:

Why is play an important part of our lives?

Humans are designed by nature to play, and have played throughout evolution. Playfulness is an inborn ability that is hardwired into our genetic code. Play is part of how humans have adapted and survived everywhere on Earth, from the tropics to the great deserts to the Arctic Circle. We want to play because it is instinctive and fundamental to our existence; it is one of the evolutionary mechanisms that enabled us to
develop as a species. Playing helps us survive by connecting us to other human beings and to sources of energy and excitement within ourselves. Play is simultaneously a source of calmness and relaxation, as well as a source of stimulation for the brain and body.

Play will be important to our future. Some futurists have said that we’ll need to be more inventive, creative, and flexible to handle the tasks, flow and rhythm of life in this century and beyond. A sure (and fun) way to develop these abilities is to play – with your children and grandchildren, your officemates and friends.

Why is it important to play at work?

When researchers follow pre-teen children s attitude about play, they discovered that some children called almost everything they did “play” while others called almost everything they did “work”. Reconnecting with the children at the end of adolescence, the children who thought of everything as play were more successful and happier in school and were more content socially than the people who saw everything as “work”.

Success at work does not depend on the amount of time you work. It depends upon the quality of work, and the quality of work depends on the level of well-being of the workers. The level of well-being depends significantly on the how often they replenish themselves through play in any of its forms. Work is where we spend much of our time. That is why it is especially important for us to play during work. Without some recreation, our work suffers. Most of us have been working faster, harder, and smarter, and with diminishing free time. We first thought that working faster, harder, and smarter would handle our increased workload, but that is not the case. We still got behind and became chronically overwhelmed. When the project you’re working on hits a serious glitch (as they frequently do), heading out to the basketball court with your colleagues to shoot some hoops and have a few laughs does a lot more than take your mind off the problem. If basketball isn’t your cup of tea, having a model airplane contest, telling stories, or flying kites in the parking lot will also allow your relationship to the problem to shift and enable you to approach it from a new perspective. Interjecting play into the work cycle: keeps you sane and functional during times of stress; refreshes your mind and body; renews hope; triggers creativity; and increases energy.

Playing non-violent computer games can be a great way to relax and combat stress, at home and at work, by children and adults. There are many sites on the Internet with free or resonable priced non-violent computer games, such as:
Fun Games Plaza ,Kids Games ,
Addicting Games Or Amic Games.

Getting what you need for your newborn without going broke

It’s been said time and again that babies cost a pretty penny. Although little Brad or Jennifer won’t hop out of the birth canal and start demanding servants and expensive electronic gadgets, they do represent some additional expenses that can be wallet-draining when considered all at once. Fortunately the expenses do not have to be incurred all at once – even an unplanned pregnancy allots nine months to plan and gradually deal with the expenses associated with procreation. There are several steps that expectant parents can take to help cut down on some of the major expenses that are expected.

Baby Showers

A baby shower is a time honored tradition in which expectant mothers get a bunch of free stuff from their friends and family members. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to take advantage of this situation. A decent shower can often cover most of the immediate baby layette needs. Usually someone will offer to hold a shower for the expectant mom, but she shouldn’t be afraid to drop hints to close friends and family or even come right out and ask for a shower.

Buy Diapers in Advance

When is the best time to start buying diapers and other such essentials? The moment after conception would be ideal, but since most women don’t know that they’re expecting until weeks or even months later, you may have to settle for “as soon as you find out.” Start adding diapers to your regular shopping list and try to pick up one or two packages each week. Varying between size one and two is a good idea, with perhaps a pack or two of the newborn size. If you have a bigger baby you don’t want to be stuck with lots of newborn size diapers that you’ll never use. If the baby is “normal” size it is easy to buy newborn sizes while you need them and rest easy in the knowledge that you’re already stocked up on the next sizes up. A lower cost alternative to this is to use a cloth diaper service if you can find one still in operation in your area.

Get Help & Buy Used Whenever Possible

For large baby needs like cribs, playpens, and strollers, try and get the help of family members with these purchases. Proud grandparents to be are usually more than happy to help with items like these. A lot of money can be saved by purchasing these items second-hand as well. If a used crib, stroller, or playpen is in good condition, there is no reason not to buy it over a new one. The only item you probably don’t want to buy used is a car seat. These items must meet safety requirements and there is no way to be sure that a used one measures up to current standards.

A little planning and thinking ahead is all it takes to save serious money on most of your initial and ongoing baby needs. They real key to setting up your baby layette on a budget is to start as soon as possible.

Skin Care Tips: Online Product Shopping Check List

free  Comments Off on Skin Care Tips: Online Product Shopping Check List
Dec 262022

There are so many good skin care products online, you’d be missing out if you didn’t look into buying your products via the web. But, as with everything on the web, it’s buyer beware: there’s plenty of junk thrown in with the good stuff. Here’s what to look for and what to look out for:

Skin Care Tips on Product Price.

Don’t fall for the typical website trick of providing a low purchase price and then tacking on a substantial shipping and handling fee–or offering free shipping but then charging a “handling” or “processing” fee.

Skin Product Size

· Any product listing has to say, at bare minimum, how many grams, ounces, or CCs the product contains.

· However, it should also give you some idea of how many uses you will get out of the product. Ten ounces of one product might last 30 days, while ten ounces of another might barely last the week.

· If the product listing doesn’t provide this information, it should at least say how much is a recommended dose, and how much to use per day or week. Then simply divide the total size of the product by the usage size to get an idea. For instance, if you need to use half an ounce of product per day, a 16-ounce container will likely last a month.

Skin Care Products’ Ingredients

At bare minimum, the product listing should show all the ingredients listed on the actual product label, both active ingredients (the ingredient that actually performs whatever treatment the product is supposed to provide), as well as inactive ingredients (ingredients used for filler, textures, scents, and other materials that are only there to help sell the product rather than fulfill its mission).

The site should also explain in plain English what each ingredient does. You should do a quick web search on one or two of the ingredients you don’t recognize, to see if the product listing’s explanation of what the ingredient is accurate or if it’s distorted.

For instance, companies sometimes try to give the impression that ingredients that are really only used as colorants or preservatives provide some skin care benefit. They do this to mask the fact that the essential active ingredient in the product may be the same as dozens of other products on the market.

Guarantees

Don’t take any guarantees at face value until you’ve checked them out. A money-back guarantee may hide the fact that it would simply be too much expense or trouble to return the product.

For instance, if the price of the product is ten dollars plus five dollars shipping and handling, and the money-back guarantee requires you to ship back the unused portion to get it, you will have spent five dollars on shipping, meaning you are only really getting five dollars back. Then of course there’s the original shipping and handling fee, which is often not included in the money-back guarantee.

Faced with putting the gunk back in the jar, repacking it, mailing it back, and waiting for a meager refund, many people will simply give up–the money-back guarantees of many sub-par products depend on this phenomenon.

In short, if the money-back guarantee requires you to return the unused product and/or does not cover the original shipping and handling fee, it’s not much of a guarantee.

An Insider Guide To The Strategy, Tactics & Psychology Of Giving Gifts

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – -

FREE!

It’s one of the most powerful words in advertising and marketing. Grabs your attention. Gets you curious. Stimulates your desire.

Even if you were NOT interested to start with!

Just think about it. How many pieces of software, ebooks and reports clutter up your hard drive. And you only ever downloaded it because it came at no cost – as a gift.

So why do marketers give away stuff? And how can you profit from giving away things too? You’ll learn exactly why, how and when to use gift give-aways to grow your business – and make new friends.

Always Give Value – Always

We live in a cynical world – especially on the Internet. People are critical. They demand high value.

Offer it – and you become their trusted friend, ally, go-to person. Fail to, and you’ll do yourself great harm.

So if you plan to give something away as a gift, make sure it has high value. A simple rule of thumb is – If you can’t sell it, don’t try gifting it away.

Why does this matter? Look, one of the major reasons for gift-giving as a business building and marketing tactic is to lay the foundation for a trusting, lasting relationship with your prospects.

Their perception of you, your business and your brand begins with your gift. You don’t get a second chance to make a good first impression. So make it your best – by giving high quality gifts.

Sell Them – Even If You’re Giving It Away

A big mistake beginners make is to assume that just because you’re giving it away, folks will fall over themselves to grab it.

Wrong.

You need to sell them on the value… and then let them have it at no cost.

Highlight the effort you put into creating it. How many hours of research went into it? How much money did you spend? How many people were involved? What were their skills, qualifications, efforts?

Tell them how they will benefit from it. What will the product do for your prospects? How will their lives be better by using/reading/applying what you’re giving away?

Show them just how valuable it is – and then give it away. That packs a powerful punch!

But why give stuff away in the first place?

Profit Strategies From Gift Giving

There are many ways you, as the gift-giver, can profit from your efforts apart from the intangible benefits like gaining goodwill and building positive buzz around your brand.

* Make the gift a pre-selling tool for your main product. It can educate your prospect about the value of your primary product or service. It can offer a sample, a trial or a glimpse of the power of what you are selling. It can raise hopes, open avenues of possibility, reveal potential advantages – and bring prospects back to do business with you.

* Make ‘in-context’ offers. A short report about avoiding the pitfalls of cheap web hosting can recommend a specific web host. A guide explaining how a particular tactic is executed can mention a software or service that makes the process simple or faster.

* Build in ‘back-ends’. You could give away a complete product – and sell them more of it, for a longer period, or another related product that enhances the value of what you gave them. Or you could give away a basic version – and offer to sell a deluxe or premium.

* Make it viral. By giving away high quality gifts – and offering recipients an incentive to pass it along – you’ll grow a monstrous marketing machine that will explode your business and profits as it keeps growing and growing.

* Go wide and far. Recruit others to help you give away stuff. Find affiliates and joint venture partners. Make it attractive for them to participate in giving away YOUR gifts.

As long as you have a mechanism in place to identify and follow up with recipients of your gift, you can expand your efforts extensively – and the more you give away, the more you will benefit in the long run.

I hope this short article has given you some ideas to use when you plan the next give-away. And please let me know about it – I LOVE gifts 🙂
